The Perfect Summer BBQ Salad- Raman Salad Recipe
It's summertime and that means one thing.... it's BBQ season! I love a good BBQ. Inviting over some family or friends, have some drinks and enjoy some hamburgers or hot dogs or really anything type of meat. But I always get stuck on sides and what to make to compliment anything we make on the grill.
Look no further than this awesome easy salad recipe that the will make you the talk of the BBQ! Not only is it super easy but it is super quick to make, and tastes delicious! Even my little picky eaters at home will eat it.
One of my pet peeves is reading a recipe and having someone's whole life story up above it so I have kept this short and sweet for you all!
This recipe is the the large scale version that will be feed 8 or more people. Generally when I make it for my family, I just half it.
Coleslaw Mix (1 1/2 -2 small bags)
2 or 3 green onions
sunflower seeds (no shells)
slivered almonds
Beef Ramen Package
Dressing
1/4 cup oil
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Beef flavoring from Ramen
3 tbsp. soya sauce
Mix dressing prior to adding to coleslaw.
Toast slivered almonds and sunflower seeds in pan or in oven, cool
Add your toasted nuts(yup I said it :P) to the coleslaw mixture just before serving as well as the crunched up Raman noodles.
You can add the dressing to the mixture up to 2 hours before serving but the later the better so that it doesn't become soggy.
My kids always complain when I put the green onions in so I had them on the side to side to add.
So easy to make an tastes so good. Let me know on Instagram at @thegondagang once you try it!
